Today I received an e-mail stating an upcoming release of a new version of SecurityFocus.com. We all know SecurityFocus was bought by Symantec some time ago (can't remember when), and now their changing the apearance of the site.
According to the mail, the first 1000 registered were allowed entrance to the new site (beta.securityfocus.com). They also state that any comments and suggestions are very welcome.. and I think they need some. The site, has gone from its "centered" aproach, is now aligned to the left; With menu on the left etc. The fonts look horrible (big!), advertising (such as the "aaaaaaaaaaaaads by google") are visible instantly and takes up lots of the focus. In general, I can't think of a thing that has improved? I'll try to hand beta@securityfocus.com a well organised and constructive e-mail on the matter :)
